Shell Caprinus XR 40 209l is a premium-grade, heavy-duty engine oil specifically formulated for North American diesel engines, particularly those manufactured by General Electric and General Motors Electro-Motive Division (EMD). This oil utilizes advanced, low-chlorine additive technology, offering both environmental benefits and enhanced performance. Notably, it is zinc-free and approved for use in GM-EMD engines equipped with silver piston-pin bearings, as well as in GE’s latest locomotives.
